SunSensor Sunglasses
This innovative eyewear solution takes sun protection far beyond the traditional UV coated sunglasses now in the marketplace. An electronic SunSensor is built directly into the glasses, measuring exposure to harmful ultraviolet (UV) rays and warning the wearer of overexposure. This product makes it easy to get the right amount of sun, without sunburning. As an aging population becomes more and more conscious of the damage UV rays can cause, including skin cancer and eye cataracts, these SunSensor glasses have enormous market potential. The glasses shown below were jointly designed by Contour Optik, Inc., and IpVenture and are currently in production.
